Child Health Information Service (CHIS)
The purpose of Child Health Information Services (CHIS) is to ensure that each child in England has an accurate active record, providing a record of a child’s health status, to support the delivery of public health interventions including; screening and childhood and adolescent immunisations and the Healthy Child Programme.
The CHIS enable the health protection, promotion and failsafe activities for clinical delivery to be carried out in a timely way.
CHIS is an NHS commissioned service responsible for collating data for children aged 0-19 that are either residents or registered with a Wiltshire GP into a single child health record. We work closely with GPs, School Nurses, Health Visitors, Local Authority and other health care professionals.
